“Marv” was the true Patriarch of who Asbury Carbons is today. He was active in the office up to the age of 90, always with a word of wisdom and drive for results with his big smile and bigger personality. Marv was passionate about creating a great workplace for employees with a family culture feel.

Marv was the architect of Asbury’ s exponential growth from the 1960’s onward. He wasn’t afraid to take risks and understood that growth; personally, professionally and in business, best comes from pushing boundaries and learning from failures. A mantra that continues to guide us today.

His passion for serving customers by providing a broad swath of engineered material solutions, on time, with best-in-class quality, and personal, person to person relationships are core values that define the “Asbury Way”.

All of us are indebted to Marv for the guidance and care he led with which continues to inspire us. Thank you, Marv, on behalf of all of us that remain to care for your legacy, for everything you’ve done for us and the broader American industrial community. Your cornerstone establishment will be cherished by Asbury forever.

In keeping with Marv’s wishes Asbury will be making a donation in Marv’s honor to the Avow Hospice in Naples Florida. Employees can leave personal messages in tribute to Marv here: https://www.fullernaples.com/tributes/H-RiddleIII

With deepest sympathy to the entire Riddle family during this very difficult time.
